Japan Trip #4- Sights

Who says Tokyo is all about food and shopping?
how about the sights? the people?
Japanese have awesome manners that it sometimes overwhelms me as I'm not used to it because you know Malaysia's services la...
I dunno how many times I've bowed during the whole trip because all the sales/promoters/basically anybody that i've talked to bows every time they talk...
and omg...they're so friendly even if you decided not to buy after asking a lot of questions...
In Malaysia not that bad la..but if you do this in china, get ready for some greetings to your ancestors...LOL (based on personal experience)

their toilet is sooo clean and high tech.. couples of times I had problem looking for the flush LOL and once i just couldn't find it so I opened the door and asked the Japanese lady waiting outside to help me look for it..embarrassing much ==  luckily they're nice...
if you see a dirty toilet, probably the person before you is some foreigner...

in Japan, after you eat you will take the initiative to clean the tables because if you don't you'll be the odd one but in Malaysia terbaliklah...

enough of my rant..back to the sights...
our first sight was Meiji-Jingu Shrine (Harajuku station)

f i have the chance to revisit Tokyo again, i will definitely make time to go there again...love the environment and the calmness of the cool breeze and the worryfree stroll to the shrine...
some festival when we were there...quite lucky huh?
group pic before walking to the shrine
me and some of the performers =D
 nature =D
 wine barrels

just another arch along the walk to the shrine
a must-do before entering the shrine
 so serene and calm
another must-do..write down your wish on the board and hang it there =D hopefully mine will come true

I just love the ambience of the shrine because it just brings out all the worries and distractions that were bothering me out and do remember to get yourself one of those cute charms that they're selling there...
it's not cheap but i think it's a cute gift for your love ones and for yourself as a remembrance...
i bought a "education" one for myself since it's going to be my Final year this coming sem...aaaa

Next sight
Tokyo tower (Akabanebashi station 赤羽桥) (shinjuku to akabanebashi through oedo metro line)
just come out from the station, walk straight then you'll see the tower on your right

we went there quite late therefore, we couldn't make it up the observation deck but we got to see the tokyo tower all lighted up closed up..considered made up for our loss?

tokyo tower all lighted up..so pretty right?
reminded me of Eiffel tower which I missed a lot...but will never attempt to take the stairs down again...hahaha...(warning: if you're not great with heights don't ever try to take the stairs)

Next sight
Tokyo Skytree ( shinjuku (JR Chuo line) --> Kanda --->(Tokyo metro Ginza Line) asakusa --->(skytree line) skytree station)
it's a must to visit in Tokyo since when they've just opened last year...
I remember there were so much hype on this tower since it's the tallest independent tower in the world
waaa...so big...but everybody didn't want to go up..no point for me to go up alone =(
but they have a very big shopping complex under it...a lot of Tokyo souvenirs and snacks to be found there..so you can shop till you drop there too LOL
their displays are just too cute =D
some really fancy patisserie

Next sight
sensoji ( shinjuku (JR Chuo line) --> Kanda --->(Tokyo metro Ginza Line) asakusa )
exit 3 from the station, turn right the walk straight until the second junction then turn right again..walk straight till you see the temple..won't miss de la..or just follow the crowd la...

as unusual as we are... we went to the temple in the evening when the temple was all lighted up...
some guides actually recommended to go to this temple at night...but it was kind of creepy to be in a temple this late and dark... so after personal experience, better not go at night la...
go during the day got more shops to see also ma  hahaha
but due to time constraints..no choice lor...

it's beautiful at night but with a tad of slight eeriness..maybe i'm just sensitive

pretty right?

next sight
DisneySea
nah.. it deserves to have a post by itself

Daiba for the 1:1 Gundam ( Shinjuku ( tokyo metro marunouchi line)---> Akasaka-Mitsuke (Tokyo metro ginza line) (just walk opposite the platform)-->Shimbashi ( Yurikamome Line) --->Daiba)

Odaiba is an island attached to tokyo through Yurikamome Line
Daiba is one of the station at Odaiba
Enjoy your ride on the Yurikamome Line because I think it was really pleasant and you get to see a lot of the tokyo infrastructures like the rainbow bridge, tokyo tower, skytree etc which was really an enjoyable ride...
 rainbow bridge
 a closer look of it
gundam outside diver city
totally worth it coming just to see this moving gundam...

 me and gundam!

Diver city is a big shopping centre itself, you can either keep shopping or like us, we took to train to Aomi station (just 3 stops away) for these babies

Toyota car exhibition and design showroom

if you're a car lover, go take a look
just outside the exhibition there's this odaiba tokyo ferris wheel
inside the mall at Aomi station

History Garage ( an exhibition of antique cars) shall not be missed by car lovers too!

me and this cute car =D

i think that's all for this post...look forward to my next post because it's dedicated to disney sea and it's my last Japan trip post!
