After 6 years

Well, I guess going to Genting for a day trip still considers as traveling right? hahaha

Fact: The last I was there was 6 years ago with the S1 buds 

sounds crazy but I just don't see the reason of going there since I don't gamble, the theme park is a bore which makes it worse since it's closed now but looking forward for the new upcoming 20th century fox theme park =D 

Okay...

so the reason that i went to Genting this time is to watch the TVB star Awards 2014 

got free tickets thanks to astro but no thanks for the need to make a trip up to genting...hahaha

i remembered that the year before was held in Sunway Pyramid but their scale has gone up a lot since last year and I guess sunway isnt sufficient anymore since now it's broadcasted live in multiple countries and it's sort of a huge event for TVB 

Went there with chris,jean and kev. Thanks Kev for driving us up there but really, don't have to "der piao " one...

if i'm pregnant my baby sure get jerked out during the ride LOL 

Anyways, got there around 4-ish then went into the genting casino for the first time in  my life...

No idea how to gamble..very intrigued but didn't play any bets =P 

walked around first world shopping area and the girls went on a cosmetic shopping spree.. me on the other hand, eye gatal went for the brow trimming service hhaha

since my eye brows were all untamed and unruly might as well right? 

Didn't take much pictures since it was just genting but who could forget ootds?

but the whole ceremony was quite eventful la...

liked the performances and ah BOB and sai sai lap is just too entertaining...

too funny la...especially when they were being guok bo and vivien =P 

Andy Lau's appearance also surprised us! 

walau...first time seeing this superstar live woots! worth coming liao hahahhaha

liked the performances of the singers especially the unplugged performance! 

anyways...

congratz to charmaine she and roger kwok for winning the biggest award of the night! 

we quickly left right after they announced the last prize so we don't jam ourselves out...

super misty lor the whole genting..couldnt even see the road  in front..kinda scary driving down like that but luckily we made it home in one piece =D

Better blog this before i get into my revision schedule for the exams LOL

is like a never ending waves of nonsense LOL 

"perks" of being a final year student....

so yea...since i blog about my birthday pretty much every year...

i'll just make it a tradition to blog about it...

I don't really celebrate birthdays btw...

being single says it all LOL 

i will try to not be single next year...says every year LOL 

this is getting depressing hahaha and listening to dawen's beautiful is not helping at all =.="

nevermind...I have my friends and family =) 

so the day before my birthday, me and jan decided to go down to Bangsar to have cake! 

yes, cake! 

hearing this word from me is like a miracle LOL 

haven't had cake for more than 10 months! crazy shit right? hahahaha 

tadaaa~~ my long awaited carrot cake!!! the only cake that i constantly think about the whole time not having cakes =( 

Remember! marmalade in bangsar village serves the best carrot cake! IMHO! 

so moist and solid...and the cream cheese is just divine! 

so happy to see this cake LOL 

 making my wish...=) can u guess what's my wish? hahahaha *wink* 

 thanks this pretty for buying me the cake =) 

we basically hung out the whole day, went and watch captain america and i accidentally fell asleep for awhile coz i was really tired..not that the movie was boring..it was just me being sleepy...

sorry chris evans..u were really hot...and ur hotness has eventually kept me awake hahahaha 

then Mr.Wai Loon came and crash our dinner at sushi tei! 

I was feeling kinda guilty after having that cake so i just ordered unagi with egg...which doesn't even seemed healthy LOL 

it was fun chatting with you guys and it's great to be able to just say whatever i want to say like a crazy woman =) a toast to all final year students!!!

On the actual day which was 19th April I spent my whole afternoon doing my assignments...

sorry if i sounded like a bitch for saying i can't go out in the day because i had to do my work to compensate going out at night =( 

at that time, it was like a pile of undone work waiting for me to molest them LOL 

it's my fault because I procrastinated too much before that and that's the price to pay LOL 

after attempting to finish my robotics coursework which obviously i couldn't...did only less than half of it...MM4RAT , why you so hard to write =( 

I got dressed and waited for Venice =) 

BTW, it was raining cats and dogs at that time...

the jam was terrible too...

we had to call Tanzini to keep our table because our reservation was supposed to be at 7pm but we only managed to get thr by 8.30pm LOL

KL and their stupid jam and flood and that stupid tree that caught Venice off guard near my house... 

I didn't know there's a difference between Tanzini and Tanzini@upperdeck...

so apparently upperdeck is only for fine dining... 

This is probably my first proper fine dining after Europe LOL 

eh..ain't everybody have the money to go for fine dining all the time lor... 

 The ambience was quite nice...the floor-length window and all...but i would say it was more for mushy lovey dovey couples hahaha...

the seats were freaking sofas! a bit inconvenient i would say...i would rather sit on normal chairs hahaha 

 Not very sure what's this but it was complementary and i'm guessing it's raw tuna+cooked tuna? it tasted good though 

 my appetizer- snow crab+ foie gras otak-otak...

It was nice but I was expecting more foie gras taste in it..all i could taste was the otak-otak..slight disappointment here 

This sorbet is also another complementary transition dish...not very sure what flavour was it though..but it was quite refreshing 

 my main: quail something LOL

the name of the dishes are too damn long to memorize la...i know that i'm eating quail then ok edi..haha

decided to not order beef that day since i was still feeling all guilty from the cake ytd..LOL.. 

as if quail is anymore healthier == 

but i kinda like the infused veggies...very unique and juicy 

 Finally~ my dessert! 

yam with some sweet malty biscuits? and there's boba inside...hahaha 

not very conventional but kinda cute 

Overall the food was okay, service was fast though and friendly...

Btw, it's not cheap and now I need to zip up my wallet for awhile... 

How is it possible to not have toilet selfies in an outing?

So after dinner, we decided to go to marini's on 57 for drinks...

it was damn random..

friends from different groups came all of a sudden...

 look at the crowd...

The view was pretty spectacular...could see the double corns just right the window...

A friend doesn't want his family to know that he came out to drink, so I'll just not expose him =) 

Shing Fong came too! but didn't get to say much coz he was with his friends and there weren't enough chairs for everyone so he left quite early... =(

I would say that it's not a usual place for me to hang out but no harm trying new places =) 

we're young! just make sure you do no wrong and you're fine! 

and then back to reality until now....

it was just assignments and FYP!!!! 

didn't even hv time to have my birthday dinner with my family yet...==

I haven't been blogging for exactly a month! 

since i've just submitted my final coursework of my final year and my fyp report to my lecturer for skimming i felt like blogging to pay off the blogging debt incase i forget things that I want to blog =) 

since this happened before my birthday, it's only justice to blog about my prom first hahaha

So I digress, 

this is my first ball of my uni life...

and I think i've expected a bit too much..it was kinda disappointing tbh =(  

the whole event was poorly managed, it was kinda bland and there were no dancing...

not to say that i'm good at dancing..but isn't that what ball is about? 

it was more like a wedding dinner...LOL

all we do was wait...wait...then eat...then wait...then say our goodbyes... LOL

but then it was kinda fun to play dress up and take loads of pictures since before that I was always camping in the computer lab or in my room rushing my fyp =( 

so Jan came to my place in the afternoon that day and I started prepping her up =D 

Did side swept hair and a mild-smokey make up for her =) very proud of myself hahahahah perasan XD 

then I was trying to go for something sort of classic...light eye make up with bold red lips...

and this was my look of the night =) 

 was hoping to get a short dress but couldn't find any suitable ones so ended up setting for this dress that i got from f21 LOLLL 

 with Mandy and Jan =) i look a bit ghostly under fluorescent light...not enough blush  

 Toilet selfies are a must! went straight to the toilet the first thing after reaching Aloft Hotel...LOL

and then the wait started....

it was supposed to start at 7.30...

but until 8 also we weren't seated yet...LOL 

but then we continued with the never ending photo taking sessions LOLL

Then the photo booth started so all mech.engs that went decided to take a pic =) missing a few of them though...=( 

 Finally got seated after a million years of waiting..right before we turned into fossils...

but then..it was another round of waiting....

i think we got to eat only by 8.30 ish LOL 

and the queue was kinda ridiculous...  but nevermind..we can always take pictures LOL

maybe engineers are just not ONZ!  LOL 

but then it was great to get to chill with friends and snap pictures... an excuse to get away from our hectic final year life for a night =)

这几个月好像听过很多次了。。。

连出门前老妈也说：哇，平的wor... ＝＝ 

朋友也说：作模不穿push up bra... 

哎哟。。。我穿的话全部人不是知道我潜建咯。。。

okok...离题了。。。

昨晚终于和一大半的理一们聚起来了。。。

虽然还是有些一部分的人没办法到但是也算很多人了。。。所以内心真的有感动到。。。＝） 

虽然昨晚的晚餐发生了一些小意外。。。

哎。。。以后做waiter/waitress的请多多练下bicep curls／bench press才去端菜啦。。。

很危险咧。。。

遇到我这种怕麻烦的客人还没关系。。。

万一你烫到的是那些大粒野你不是惨了咯。。。

而且幸亏只是手和脚，如果是脸的话，叫我们女生怎么办啊？ 

已经无人问津了，再坏下去就不得了了。。。

现在水泡亭亭玉立的起在我面前。。。碍眼。。。

明明出门喷好了香水，还没吃就变成海带汤＋药膏味道了 ＝＝ 

过后幸亏过程就顺利了。。。也因此多了一盘免费sotong...LOL
