Eat out two days in a row...
very unusual for me since coming to notts...
Finally found where nada budaya is and decided to kill my six months crave for assam laksa with Nabila =)
I know when it comes to Malaysian food, I am definitely not a very good Malaysian...
better ask me about Malaysia's Chinese Education than about Malaysian Food XDD

so two of us took off to town using our "beloved" Unite bus...XD
found the restaurant but couldn't find the entrance at 1st....hahaha
ended up it was the same entrance as the pub above the restaurant...
the ambiance there was quite nice...quite similar to Madam Kwan but much quieter...
not many people were dining when we were there...
I didn't have to look at the menu to know what I want...XD
persuaded Nabila to try char kuey tiau... since that's the only thing besides assam laksa I know well...hahaha
you must be asking, how about nasi lemak?
I've only had like less than 10 times of nasi lemak in my whole life...
wth?! yea yea...i don't really like nasi lemak...
finally~ my assam laksa was served...
try the soup first...
kinda disappointed ><
not spicy and sour enough for my liking...
i like madam kwan's one and the ss2 coffee shop one much better...
even pappa rich one seems better lei...oh dear...
and they used thick yellow mee instead of "lai fun" ...
assam laksa is all about the lai fun lor...><
assam laksa without lai fun is just wrong lar...
but i think maybe UK very hard to get lai fun...
well..beggars can't be chooses right?
Nabila seems to like the char kuey tiau though...=)))
after dinner both of us were craving for ice cream...
1st thought was baskin robin..but vic centre was already closed at that time...
then nabila suggested corner house...
when we reached corner house i saw TGIfriday and i was like: TGI aaaaa ! i want their mud pie XD
then we patiently waited 25 mins to be seated..
and i ordered my mud pie then nabila ordered her sundae...
sundae on friday..geddit? geddit? XDDDD
ok i know not funny lar...
tgi's mud pie was discontinued in msia the last time i've heard...sad lar
mouth watering mud pie....woohooooo XD
after our gluttony dessert...we managed to catch the Unite bus home =))

saturday came~
The hunger games!
the book is plain awesome, of course have to watch the movie lor...XD
has been looking forward to watch it so badly lor...
the trailer was breath taking lar...and i managed to finish the 1st book before watching the movie XD u know lar...the way i read takes me at least 2 weeks to finish one book...
only read when i'm waiting for the bus, before sleeping and most of all pangsai time XD ok..TMI
went and watch with Nora...=)
dunno why UK's cinema commercials damn long lor... i think it was almost 20 mins of plain commercials and movie trailer...
the next movie will be the avengers XD
the good and bad thing about reading the book is that you know every single detail and what you are going to expect...
but a lot of scenes were taken off in the movie lor..
but cannot blames them oso..no slots to squeeze in some details from the book into the movie oso...
but i'm not going to lie..it's a good movie but i think i enjoyed the book more...
the book has more intense to it and more dept into what's the hunger games about...
they didn't even mention why Gale has to put 42 names for the reaping this year and Katniss affection towards Peeta was just to put on a show to save their lives...
and katniss was tortured more in the book like the trackerjay's stings, the mine that deafen her ears...etc etc...
nonetheless, the movie is worth watching but the book is highly recommended by me =)
after the movie, we went to Yo! sushi for dinner =)
hadn't had japanese for quite some time...
i love salmon arrrrrr ....
but yo sushi is quite pricey lor...
can eat xenri edi ar...xenri is just awesome ...miss xenri so much...
chatted for quite awhile then head home by bus...
nice hanging out with you lar... we faster save more money go eat nice food...hahaha XD
