yay~! the wait is finally over!
Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette has finally launched in Malaysia! =)
I have been waiting for it since the day it launched in the states and now this baby is finally in my hands =DD
I haven't had the chance to use it yet since i've just got it yesterday,
but i've swatched it and the colours are beautiful =)
just look at it~! the packaging is to die for! this palette resemblance more of the naked 2 palette which is also a plastic material cover....
compared to the first one which is more of a felt/velvety textured packaging..this rose gold packaging is definitely much prettier and much cleaner...
The Naked 1 palette's packaging tends to collect dust due to its fabric surface...
I own the Naked 1 palette myself and that palette is more of a warm neutral, brownish tone whereas this comes more of a pinky vibe...
look at the actual packaging~! the textured plastic makes it looks so creamy and yummy...LOL
It also comes with a sample packed with their most popular eye shadow primer which i'm also a fan of =)
tadaa~~~~ the colours~ so pretty right =) as you can see, the whole palette has a pink cast to it and it goes from light to dark as usual...
the shadows are mostly frosted finished and 4 are matte shadows...
My favourite shadow at first sight/first swatch is trick (6th from the left)..the finishing is soooo pretty and the colour payoff is just awesome!
swatches:
right to left: strange-dust-burnout-limit-buzz
Strange can be used as a highlighting colour for your brow bone, inner corners of your eyes etc
dust is a really beautiful shimmery glittery shadow but it flakes quite a bit....and i think you can only wear it on bigger occasions or use very minimal on your lids to make your eyes pop!
buzz is also a very nice frosted shadow but slightly darker than trick ...
Limit is a matte dark movy pink that can be used as a base all over your lids...
right to left: trick -nooner-liar-factory-mugshot-darkside-blackheart
look at the beautiful frosted finished of trick...divine divine divine...
nooner seems really similar to limit but darker and has more of a brown tint...
blackheart is a brownish black with gold shimmer in it that i think would make a good eyeliner dupe...
the palette also comes with a two headed brush which comes in handy and urban decay make good brushes...not those cheapo ones you get from those usual palettes...
verdict: the pigmentation of most of the shadows are really good..some swatches are only done using one swipe..=O only the first few shadows need more effort on transferring the colours...but nonetheless, it's a good palette to invest on if you are looking for a good neutral palette that is not so boring but yet wearable =)
The price is quite hefty though.. if i've not mistaken, they marked up the price higher than the last 2 palettes =(
That's all for today~ see you next time...
